Global Futures Foundation is a 501 C-3 nonprofit that was created in 1989 to provide a forum for consensus building between corporations and activist stakeholders. The organization grew directly out of CEO Bill Shireman's work on the California Bottle Bill, which studies show to be the most cost-effective system for large-scale can and bottle recycling in the United States.
The Future 500 is a membership organization operating under the auspices of Global Futures. After many years of being known simply as Global Futures, we made the decision in 2003 to begin using our Future 500 logo and name as our primary public identity.
Thus, The Future 500 is an alliance of leadership companies devoted to engaging with stakeholders to maximize the triple bottom line. We provide services in stakeholder engagement and capacity building tools to support sustainable business. To learn more, visit our Services page.
